The image itself is nice and straightforward. I often use cameraflash on raindrops as it makes them look nice and bright and gives them more definition. I am above these flowers and shooting down. The flash unit is pointed straight up and 1 click forward.Welcome to the wonderful world of cropping. Once you've taken the image you wanted you might find there are times when you'll want to use just a part of it. I seldom if ever use the entire image I took. 99% of the time I'll crop it in some way and as you can see here I've cropped it and rotated the image 90 degrees counter-clockwise. I'm standing above the flowers and aiming down at them. The flash unit is set to E-TTL II mode and there is a white diffuser on the flash unit. My white balance is set to " Flash " and I chose F8 to make the flower nice as sharp. The focus point is the centre of the blue flower. The camera is in Manual mode since the flash unit will automatically work out the amount of flash needed. This flash unit can sync at 1/300th second which wont blow the image out at F8. If you like this effect, you dont need to wait for rain - just spray the flowers with water then flash them ! I'm using Adobe CS3 to edit.

1. I rotated the image 90 degrees counter-clockwise
2. I resized it to 1024 x 683 and used : Sharpen and then Sharpen Edges.
3. Slight boost to contrast to make the colours more vivid.
4. Curves adjusted.
5. Canvas size changed to 800 and colour made black to give it a border.
DONE !
