Promise......I've heard this word too many times lately and unless the dictionary definition is very wrong it certainly hasnt had the meaning I would have hoped / liked it to !
So with that angry frame of mind I vented my frustrations using instruments and melodies to reflect the way I felt at the time. So here's to every broken promise and the optimistic hope of the ones that will actually happen ;)
Music sure is a great way of venting. I feel great now. Better than a workout !
As for tech stuff, I used the Eastwest Collosus VST as in the GM bank there is a church organ which just sounds fantastic - the layers you can create using it and the force behind it as a sound is incredible. Am loving this Axe FX II also, the range and quality of the sounds in it really offer me so much more versatility than any FX unit I've played with so far. The Eastwest strings VST's are also fantastic. Everything sounds perfect. I've found cellos, violins and harp play a big part in a lot of my soundtracks and they all work great with clean and heavy guitar sounds too. The choir VST always helps bring back a gentle and relaxing mood even after the heaviest sections and is a nice way to break the parts up without leaving it sounding too empty.
Hoping you like the track !
